Canopius names Jinnan Tang as Casualty Treaty Underwriter

Global specialty re/insurer Canopius Group has appointed Jinnan Tang as a Casualty Treaty Underwriter, effective August 11th, 2025, based in Singapore.

Canopius Group logoTang joins the Asia Pacific (APAC) regional team, reporting to Andrew Parker and Micia Yong in their respective leadership roles.

He has over 12 years of experience across underwriting, pricing, reserving, and actuarial analysis. Tang’s cross-regional experience and technical depth enable him to deliver tailored solutions in complex reinsurance environments worldwide, explained the re/insurer.

Most recently, Tang was at Amlin Singapore, leading the Casualty and Marine treaty portfolios across APAC and Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Additionally, he developed the Marine FMX strategy and successfully doubled marine premiums.

Tang also played a key role in mentoring junior talent, advancing portfolio analysis, and contributing to regional growth through strategic market engagement.

Previously, Tang held actuarial roles in London with Westfield Specialty and Aon Reinsurance Solutions, leading pricing initiatives across UK Motor, International Liability, and Marine portfolios.
